We came across this great tip in Peter Greenberg's book, The Travel Detective and again from someone this week about how you can land a great discount of your airfare if it's for bereavement reasons.
Apparently someone needed to get to a funeral in the mid west. He called airline after airline, and they all quoted close to $1,000.00 round trip..........American gave them "Bereavement Fares" of less than 400.00 and when he needed to change the outbound and was told he couldn't citing "no seats" as the main reason, but after speaking with a supervisor, he changed it and put a note in the computer that anything he wanted changed was to be done at no charge.

There are lots of ways that you can explore Europe; trains, planes, and automobiles. But nothing beats a relaxing river cruise. If you've already seen Big Ben and are looking for something more, maybe a river cruise is in store for you.
