Delta is offering a systemwide sale for travel to many domestic destinations including Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York City through mid-March. AirTran, JetBlue, Northwest, United, and US Airways are matching or beating all routes.
Through Thursday, low-cost king Southwest has placed more than 1,100 routes on sale for travel from late February through spring. Competing carriers American, US Airways, Delta, and Northwest bring the heat with savings of up to 35 percent.
