Delta has jumped into the fray with its own sales, which match AirTran's, American's, and Frontier's latest promotions. All of the aforementioned airlines compete, as do Continental, Spirit, and United with their own non-promotional rates.
Frontier jumps into the fare brawl initiated by AirTran on Tuesday and followed up by American this morning. Travel dozens of destinations including Denver, Las Vegas, Milwaukee, and New York City from $44 one-way or $88 round-trip.
American competes with AirTran by mimicking the low-cost carrier's spring, summer, and fall sale. Besides American's sale, Continental, Delta, Frontier, United, and a few other carriers' non-promotional rates are matching AirTran's rates as well.
