Spirit's latest airfare promotion is exclusively available to members of its fare club. Travel from late August through mid-November to various domestic and international cities such as Atlantic City, Orlando, Nassau, and Guatemala City.

Is a Hawaii vacation in your summer or fall plans? Hawaiian Airlines has fares to Maui and Oahu from a handful of western continental cities. These rates are generally the cheapest, but also look into Alaska and United because they, too, have low prices.

Lufthansa's latest Europe sale includes popular and off-the-beaten-path destinations such as Belgrade, Bucharest, Budapest, London, and Venice. Departures are available from 15 U.S. cities. Competition comes from Air France, Delta, and US Airways.

Skip on over to Ghana, Germany, the Netherlands, or the U.K.—it's closer than you think with United's latest international sale. Aer Lingus, Delta, and US Airways, among others, compete.

Early planners can snag a bargain with American's latest sale featuring travel to London this fall, winter, and spring. Kuwait Airways, United, and US Airways, among other carriers, compete for travel during the off-season.

AirTran's latest destination-focused sale features travel between Baltimore and more than 50 cities including Las Vegas, Miami, New Orleans, Cancun, and Nassau. American, Continental, Delta, United, US Airways have comparable rates.
